ΒΆ FAQ
Fair questions, plain answers.
These are the questions skeptical people actually ask, answered the way we'd want them answered. If yours isn't here, email hello@kizmit.app and a human replies.
Is this astrology?
No. The moon in Kizmit is an astronomical fact, not an astrological one: we show its actual phase because it's a steady, shared clock in the sky. Kizmit contains no signs, no charts, no horoscopes, and it never tells you what the sky means for you. If your own record eventually shows the moon means nothing to your days, Kizmit will happily reflect exactly that.
Does it tell me what to do?
No. Kizmit doesn't prescribe, coach, or schedule you. It keeps your record and reflects patterns from it, worded tentatively, because a pattern is a hypothesis about you rather than an instruction. What you do with what you notice is entirely yours.
Is this medical advice?
No. Kizmit is not a medical device and doesn't predict, prevent, diagnose, or treat any condition. It's a personal record of how your days actually went, alongside neutral facts about the sky. For anything medical, please talk to a clinician, and bring your record along if you find it useful.
Isn't this just another cycle app?
No. Much of the cycle-app industry rests on a tidy 28-day model: a textbook average handed to everyone as if it were personal. Real cycles differ between people, between months, and across a life. Kizmit doesn't hand you a cycle map. If you choose to log where you are, it's treated as one more thread of your record, and whatever rhythm shows up in your data, at whatever length it actually has, is the one that counts.
Do you sell my data?
No. Your record exists so Kizmit can reflect it back to you, and for no other purpose. We don't sell it, and we don't run advertising against it. The full details live in our Privacy Policy.
Do you connect to my Google account?
Only your calendar, and only to read it. Kizmit isn't a replacement for your calendar; it's a companion to it. Connecting Google Calendar is how your real days come into Kizmit, so you can reflect against the life you're actually living. Kizmit reads the essentials of an event, its title, its time, whether it repeats, and never writes to your calendar, never changes anything, and never touches anyone else's. There is no Google sign-in: you sign in to Kizmit with an email and password, and the calendar is the only thing Google shares. You can disconnect it at any time.
What does the daily check-in involve?
Six taps, most days under a minute: Sleep quality, Energy level, Mental clarity, Social battery, Movement, and Mood. No scores come back, no streaks are counted, and a skipped day is just a skipped day.
What if my days are irregular?
Then your record will be honestly irregular, which is the point. Kizmit doesn't fit you to a template or an average. Whatever rhythm shows up in your data, at whatever length and consistency it actually has, is the one Kizmit reflects.
What happens to my data if I leave?
It's yours. You can export your record, and you can delete your account, which removes your data. Leaving is meant to be as honest as the rest of the product.
What does it cost?
Three doors. Membership is $111 a year, flat, for full access. Supporter is name-your-price, a patron tier that funds the mission and the Scholarship (it does not include app access). And Scholarship is free, by application, for anyone the price would otherwise keep out. Full details are on the Pricing page.
